Some years ago, if you wanted to make music, you would need to buy very expensive equipment and also learn the basics of music creation, which required a lot of time and effort. But today, almost anyone can create music, by using specialized software, as there are numerous applications on the market which are oriented in this direction. What's more, you won't even need to buy expensive equipment, as an average computer, a sound card and a pear of speakers or headphones are all that's required to help you get started.

One application which makes it simple to create music is Mixcraft. This Windows program allows you to create songs, by using a large library of samples and instruments.

After installing the application, the user will be able to listen to some sample projects and will even be able to modify them, thus becoming familiar with the application in shorter time. There are three sample projects available but more can be downloaded from the program's website.

Creating a project from scratch is very simple, as the user will only need to access the library tab, located in the lower part of the interface and choose the desired instrument or sample. For making it easier to find a certain instrument or sample, all of them are organized in several categories, according to the music genre they belong to. When adding an instrument into the program's interface, it will be automatically downloaded from the program's website.

Thus, you will have the desired samples and instruments on your hard disk and you will not waste space with instruments you won't use. By default, Mixcraft includes 8 different audio tracks, but more can be added, just by right clicking on the interface.

Besides adding samples to the program's interface, the user can also configure the volume, bass and treble for each channel separately, thus ensuring that the created song will sound as best as possible. After the song is created, the user will be able to save it to a wide range of file formats, like MID, WAV, MP3 and so on and even burn audio CDs directly from the program's interface.

Pros

It includes a huge library of samples and instruments. Besides that, all samples are efficiently organized in several categories. Furthermore, the user can customize the volume, bass and treble for each audio track. Moreover, songs can be saved in a wide range of audio formats and even burned to audio CDs.

Cons

The demo version can only work for 14 days. Mixcraft is the shortest way to creating music, allowing you to make you own songs using a large sample library.
